Anxiety is a very serious problem. You may feel nervous, anxious and depressed. There are different anxiety medications that can be used for treatment, also known as tranquilizers. You need to be aware that these medications will have side effects and can be addictive.

Ativan
Ativan is used for the treatment of anxiety for short term relief only. It is best prescribed for only four months and can be highly addictive. Side effects include dizziness, memory problems, sedation, amnesia, unsteadiness and weakness.
